Is a delayed start to the academic year compatible with a VLS-TS visa / renewal of a residence permit?

For students already in France, the February intake is compatible with a renewal of student residence permit , subject to compliance with the usual requirements (hours, attendance, seriousness of studies).
For a first-time VLS-TS visa application from abroad , eligibility depends on your country of residence and the guidelines of your local Campus France office/consulate. It is therefore essential to consult your Campus France office or the local French consulate directly to verify whether a February intake is permitted in your case.

Does starting the academic year later lead to the same diploma as starting in September?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The February intake leads to the same diploma , with the same level of recognition and the same academic requirements as the September intake.

Question 3

Does a delayed start date allow me to obtain the same number of ECTS credits?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The February intake follows the same training volume and the same number of ECTS credits as the September intake. The program is simply shifted in time: with a February intake, the program is scheduled to end in January 2027 (23/01/2027), without any reduction in content or duration.

Are there any internships or projects planned despite starting in February?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The internships, projects and applied work planned in the program are identical for the September intake and the February intake.
Starting in February does not remove projects, case studies, or any planned internships from the curriculum: only the start date changes, not the educational structure.

Question 5

Is the number of places limited for the delayed start of the academic year?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The groups are small and the number of places for the February intake is strictly limited in order to guarantee good support for each student.
We therefore advise you to submit your application as early as possible in order to reserve a place on the February cohort.

Question 6

Do I need to have a motivation interview or a level test for the February intake?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The admission procedure is the same as for the September intake :
1. Submission of a complete application file (CV, diplomas, cover letter, required supporting documents — see Admissions page);
2. Motivational interview with management / teaching team, via video conference or on site;
3. Admission decision and sending of the acceptance letter.
For programs requiring a specific language level or academic prerequisite, a placement test or targeted questions during the interview may be used to verify the suitability of your profile.
